Quick walking tour of Rome in three days
Of course, you should take a good map of Rome, to reach with public transport any starting point of each route.
FIRST DAY

Morning (Route n°1):
- Piazza San Pietro , the Basilica, the dome and caves vatican catacombs )
- Lungotevere Castello (Castel S. Angelo , ancient monument built on the mausoleum of Emperor Adriano, also referred to as Adrian Mole :
during the visit you can make a romantic lunch just under the arches of the castle battlements by ordering in a bar restaurant on site)
Afternoon (Route n°2):
- ponte Umberto I (Palazzo di giustizia), piazza Navona (Quattro fiumi fountain by Bernini), piazza della Rotonda (Pantheon), piazza S. Ignazio (chiesa di S. Ignazio)
- piazza Colonna (Palazzo Chigi, colonna Antonina, Montecitorio), piazza di Trevi ( Trevi Fountain )
- via del Tritone, via Due Macelli , piazza di Spagna (famosa scalinata di Trinità dei Monti), via Condotti, via Tomacelli, piazza Augusto Imperatore (mausoleo di Augusto), via Ripetta (Ara Pacis)

SECOND DAY
Morning (Route n°3)
- piazza Venezia (Altare della Patria also known as Vittoriano : with equestrian monument dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II King.
- via dei Fori Imperiali (colonna Traiana, Foro Romano, Colosseo, Arco di Costantino)
Afternoon (Route n°4):
- via degli Annibaldi, piazza S. Pietro in Vincoli (catene di S. Pietro, Mosè di Michelangelo), via Cavour, piazza Esquilino (basilica di S. Maria Maggiore)
- via Merulana, piazza S. Giovanni in Laterano (basilica di S. Giovanni, Scala Santa)
THIRD DAY
Morning (Route n° 5)
- piazza Venezia, piazza dell’Aracoeli (chiesa di S. Maria d’Aracoeli with high staircase), piazza del Campidoglio ( Monument of Emperor Marco Aurelio ), via del Teatro Marcello (teatro Marcello, columns and ruins of ancient temples), piazza Bocca della Verità (chiesa di S. Maria in Cosmedin, rosone della Bocca della verità;
- via della Greca ( Circo Massimo), via delle Terme di Caracalla (terme di Caracalla)
Afternoon (Route n° 6)
- via di Porta S. Sebastiano (mura Aureliane), via Appia Antica (S. Sebastiano catacombs)
- tomba di Cecilia Metella, walk along the "millennial Via Appia" (flanked by a number of ruins and tombs of illustrious men and women))

INFORMATION: If you still have time and want to make a quick summary of what we have seen in the Eternal City, you can make a great tour on special buses "open" seats, leaving from Piazza Venezia, on circuits called "monumental Rome"or "Christian Rome"
Bear in mind that to get a more complete view of Rome should also visit the various museums (Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Capitoline Museums, Museo Nazionale Romano at Palazzo Massimo and Palazzo Altemps, Etruscan Museum, etc..), but for this purpose You must have spent more days in Rome.
